Tishman Speyer to develop research complexes in Songdo, Yongin

U.S. real estate company Tishman Speyer is set to invest tens of billions of dollars in South Korea, including constructing life-science research complexes in Incheon and Gyeonggi Province.
During his visit to Seoul for the opening ceremony of the company’s office in Jeonju, North Jeolla Province, Tishman Speyer CEO Rob Speyer outlined the company’s investment plans.
“Songdo and Yongin have the infrastructure necessary for us to establish a research complex on par with Harvard University in the United States,” he said in an interview with Maeil Business Newspaper.
Tishman Speyer seeks to foster industry-academia collaboration in Korea, a country that is known for its thriving biotechnology industry.
